Buzzer using Arduino

Buzzer using Arduino

In the Microcontrollers the one dealing with the 8051 microprocessor , collaborated with Ardiuno , did you know you could make a simple buzzer using that besides making various sound variations ( aka Tones ) ??

ARDUINO :

Arduino is a open source code and can be downloaded from here

Program :

  int i;
  void setup()
{
   pinMode(6,OUTPUT);
   Serial.begin(9600);

}

void loop()
{
   for(i=0;i<=990;i+10)
   {
     Serial.println(i);
   analogWrite(6,i);
   delay(100);
   }
}

IR Detection..

                                           IR Detection

Ever while watching television at your house , stuck up by the non working TV remote ?? besides being scolded by your mom, that even after studying Engineering you are not able to identify what the problem is all about... ??

Well guys , here is a good news for you... There's a simple trick which can be performed , all that is required is a mobile camera. to find out whether your TV remote is all working ?

Procedure :

1.Open the camera on your mobile .
2. Point the camera on to the top of the remote (wherein you can find a small led like thing ).
3.While doing the same press any button on your remote.

Inference :

While following the above procedure if you can see the light ( the pointed led glowing on your mobile camera screen) means that your TV remote is all fine &  no issues with the remote.

Working :

How does the above thing works ...

Usually all the TV remotes operate on Infra Red (IR) waves which are emitted from the TV remote on the press of any button , the same waves are received by the receiver placed inside the television set which then decodes the waves into analog signal and the required change then takes place..

Now the mobile camera , is capable of capturing the visible light along with the IR waves from the spectrum.Hence on press of any button on the TV remote IR rays are emitted from the IR led transmitter on the remote which appear on your camera screen.

Questions

Now for all those of you who started to think , if this is the case then why don't i see the IR effect when i take usual/regular pictures , as the same IR waves also exist in the same sphere i live on ??
Well here's my say ,the mobile cameras which we use have a specific wavelength identifying capacity which means that you can very comfortably capture an IR emitter / IR source but not the IR waves ..

Electrical transmission through optical fibers...

Electrical transmission through optical fibers...

Seems strange , isn't it ??

All what we heard about the optical fibers was in the context of communication , right ? but remember whenever discussed about these fibers the words "EFFICIENT TRANSMISSION" always come into play.

Now just imagine if by some means our electrical power is transmitted through these optical fibers,replacing all the old fashioned technology which uses copper wires , long electrical poles.For all of those, who started to think WHY this new technology ??? well , here's my say about it

In the modern present day world, power has become a necessity and not an option .So there is a heavy demand of power and in addition to this, the demand for shutting down the nuclear reactors, which were also a part of power production has increased, so in this regard the losses during transmission of power cannot be neglected as such .Due to these losses, the power generated is not able to meet the demand of power required for consumption.

From the ancient times we are used to system of transmitting the power using wires, but these wires are creating serious environment issues and are prone to be hazards due to electrical shocks and also the power losses that occur during electrical transmission by these. So technical re-search and advances suggested an alternate and effective method of
transmitting electrical power through optical fibers.

Advantages of replacing copper cables by OPTICAL FIBERS !
u Low attenuation losses .
u Effective and reliable long range transmissions.
u No risk of electric shocks.
u Any illegal connections can be prevented effectively .
u Connections to every nook and corner .
u Long life span.
u Resistant to atmospheric conditions.
u A low weight alternative to copper cable.
u Isolated, spark free power that is immune to noise and interference from surrounding cables.

                                   Disadvantages :

Cost:

         Electrical power transmission over copper or aluminum wire is, and will likely remain, cheaper than laser power transmission over fiber. The dominant cost of the laser system is the laser itself, which is not present in the electrical system. However, the cost of the laser power system is already comparable to or less than the cost of the rest of a surveillance or communications platform, and will decline significantly with quantity purchases. The cost of lasers is also decreasing overall.
